Cervione is one of the most important municipalities of Castagniccia, overhanging the oriental plain.
The village is very dense with its big attached traditional houses, forming narrow streets in which it is difficult to circulate.
So, it is very pleasant to walk in the centre of the village around the impressive baroque church Saint-Erasme, which is a cathedral possessing a magnificent organ of the XVIII-th century which it is possible to listen. Of rather austere outside aspect, the church contains on the other hand a very decorated inside, so the vault is decorated with Saint-Erasme's triumph.
On the square of the church, one can admire an episcopal palace of the XVI-th century as well as the house of the canons of the beginning of the XVII-th century. On the other hand, a beautiful place as well as a very good museum of the Association for the development of the central East of Corsican, are interesting to visit.
