The most important museum for Italian paintings after Paris.
Open in summer, from Monday afternoon to Friday from 9.00 to 6.30pm and the weekend from 10.30 to 6.00pm.
In April May June and September, it is open everyday, except Monday morning, from 9.15 to 12.15 and from 2.15 to 5.15pm. The times change in winter and it is open one evening from 9.30pm to 12.00pm on Fridays in July and August.
Entrance fee :25 F for groups, students and pensioners.
Built under the initiative of Cardinal Fesch to house the collection that he was to donate to the town in
1839, the Fesch museum is remarkable for its exceptional collection of Italian paintings from XIV and xix centuries by Titien, Véronèse, Fra Bartolomeo, Botticelli or Bellini.
On the first floor can be found a famous painting by Botticelli and by Titien.
On the second floor there are Italian pieces from XVII and III centuries.
In the basement there is a Napoleonic collection.
