During the Moyen-Age, the village was the fief of the famous family " da Puddle ".
Today consisted of seven hamlets height perched and scattered, the village is especially interesting to visit because of the presence of ruins of castles, of towers strengthened as well as by old traditional houses in the roofs of schist.
Besides, the panorama is magnificent from the former convent situated over Olivio's hamlet where are set up two Genoese towers. Finally, it is a good stage of the road of Corsican wines.
