The island’s economy lies on difficult measures. It actually counts very few natural resources and none as main resource. Aside from agriculture, tourism is another wealth of witch the development is not with out creating problems.
Corsican economy must face the fact anyway of the insular handicap, which increases the prices of local produce and complicates it's logistics.
The island is in the last third of the French Regions for the income per inhabitant and it's employment the weakest in France.
