Natural areas covers 83% of the Corsican territory. The generality diversity of these natural places and landscapes make the island one of the last European natural reserves.
These reasons have been the Corsican’s attachment to their land and their cry to rise their voices as soon as they feed its being threatened, the Nationalistic actions in the 80’s who upheld against the promoters by bombing and creating organism action to protect it efficiently.
Actually the creation of the Regional Natural Park of Corsica in 1972 was a real deciding step.
