Sagone

This village at the east of Cargèse conceals important neolithic menhirs as well as Roman ruins and vestiges of a Sant' Appiana's Romanic cathedral dating the XII-th century.

So, of past glorious sound, only remains an impressive Genoese tower.

Thanks to her magnificent very courted bay, Sagone became one of the the most important sea resorts.

This bay, although less spectacular than that of Porto, shelter indeed nevertheless paradisiac places to practise the submarine dive.

In Sagone the sandy beach is relatively big, and the pleasure port the most pleasant.
