he Corsican center, is the most mountainous area of the island. Between the Valley of Restonica and Tavignano, the town of Corte, is the historical capital of Corsica, was the seat of the first independent government under Pascal Paoli and has the first university of France founded in 1765. The city has a citadel of the 15th century, and accomodates there today the regional museum of anthropology of Corsica To also see the national palate. Many sports activities to the mountain and the river will be proposed to you during your holidays. To reach by Corte the area of Niolo, you will pass by the road of the scala of Santa Regina to arrive at the village of Calacuccia, first stage before d' to arrive on Assembles Cinto, culminating point of the island which will lead you to L'one of the principal ski stations of the island on the collar of Vergio.
